As a world-class entrepreneur, Patrick Horsman has built pathways to both financial and personal success through many ventures. With a mission to support and nurture talented, hardworking American students in pursuit of higher education, he created the Patrick Horsman Grant, which awards $2,500 to the most deserving candidates. The grant is given twice annually.
The grant is open to undergraduates at accredited U.S. colleges and universities studying a field related to entrepreneurship, with a genuine desire to become a successful entrepreneur. Grades are a strong consideration, but the essay is what matters most. It is your opportunity to speak directly to Patrick about why you want to build.
How winners are chosen.
Who can apply
- Attend an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Be an undergraduate studying business, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Have a genuine desire to become an entrepreneur.
- Verify enrollment with a .edu email address.
The essay prompt
“Why do you want to become an entrepreneur? Why do you believe you will be successful?”
Write an original 1 to 2 page essay in response. Applicants are encouraged to share their life stories, backgrounds, and the personal characteristics that set them apart.
Two awards each year
